Matayoshi Coffee Farm

The offered campsites, tents per site, and costs.

This campsite is on a coffee farm so it actually has a lot going on. They have coffee beans growing, ATV riding, and roosters that wake you up in the morning.

Currently they let you have one tent and one tarp per section, but when I went we did two tents and no tarp so hmm... we also went over the people allowed because we had 4 people total, but I think they were letting us get away with it because of the language barrier, but I did feel bad.

For the campsites, there are some free sites then some sectioned sites. The sectioned sites feel a lot smaller in person than they look in the photos, so keep that in mind. I have their website description linked HERE but here's the descriptions.

Section B has power, water, and a Goemon-style bath, we are def gonna try this one at some point.

Section C has power and water.

Section D has power, water, and a deck. This is the one we stayed at.

Then there are other sites that are a bit patchy, and aren't really sections.

Quality of campground in regards to popularity, signage, and landscaping.

The campground here was pretty grassy, and all the other sites were booked on a Friday night. It cleared up from there on because from what I've seen the Japanese usually do one night. Signage was good, and landscaping was also good for our area although on the website you can see other sites aren't fully grassy.

Cleanliness of bathroom, shower and kitchen areas.

Out of all the campsites I've been to so far, this bathroom has been my favorite. It's basically it's own little house placed really close to the deck campsite so super convenient. Nice and clean, with a heated toilet, and unfortunately cold shower. The website does say it has warm water, so not sure what happened TBH. Kitchen area was a sink we had on the deck area which I liked.

Nearby attractions or scenic views.

I'm sure there was a coffee tour or something we could have booked, but since my friend brought her dog, and my other friend brought his cat, we didn't really look into all the attractions. We did walk to a beach that wasn't that far at all, and it was sooo beautiful.

Ok, I think I hit everything. Here's the link to the YouTube video that has this camping trip, but honestly it's not really a campsite review focused video. BUT. It does have the beauuuutiful beach in it just in case you're interested. Overall... 9/10, docked a point because campsite was pretty small.
